Canada Action's public sulfur fact sheet cites 2025 Canadian sulfur production above 4.43 million tonnes, with monthly averages 314,000-420,000 tonnes, and export value of $1.45 billion, ranking sulfur the 76th most exported Canadian product. Port of Vancouver moved 3.5 million tonnes of sulfur in 2025. The sheet is at https://www.canadaaction.ca/sulphur-canada-facts.
Figures align directionally with USGS and BC Insight production-export ranges and reinforce Canada's role as a swing solid-sulfur supplier via Vancouver. USGS MCS 2026 put Canada at 5.0 million tonnes all-forms in 2025e. BC Insight put elemental output near 4.7 million tonnes and exports near 4.57 million. Canada Action's above-4.43 million and $1.45 billion are a third public sheet, citing StatCan and Statista.
Seventy-sixth most exported product by value is a ranking, not a tonne. $1.45 billion on 4.25 million tonnes, SMM's later 2025 export print, is about $341 per tonne average unit value. That is a 2025 average, before the 2026 Hormuz spike took FOB Vancouver from about $500 in January toward $825-950 by April in SMM's H1 review. Value in 2026 will not look like 2025's $1.45 billion if those FOB ideas hold.
Monthly averages of 314,000-420,000 tonnes are a 3.8-5.0 million tonne annualized band. SMM's later first-four-month 2026 annualized 5.22 million tonnes sits at the top of that band. The fact sheet is a 2025 picture. The Hormuz year is pushing the monthly rate above the sheet's range.
Vancouver at 3.5 million tonnes is the VFPA line later confirmed at 3,507,428 tonnes in the 2023-2025 Statistics Overview. Alberta forming plants and British Columbia terminals account for more than 95 percent of national sulfur exports in the SMM account. The fact sheet's Vancouver line is that corridor in a round number.
Alberta recovered sulfur still leaves mainly through that stem. Oil sands, in BC Insight, contributed about 3.0 million tonnes, 63 percent of 2025 output. Sour-gas and refining fill the rest. Price does not raise those Claus rates. It raises remelt of the 11.66 million tonne provincial stock Argus reported for July 2025.
USGS put Canada at 53 percent of US elemental sulfur imports for 2021-24. A product ranked 76th in Canadian export value can still be first in a US import table. That is the molten-rail and Pacific-solid book the August tariff watch later sat on.
Tampa Q3 2026 at $705 per long ton (Argus, https://www.argusmedia.com/en/news-and-insights/latest-market-news/2851577-tampa-3q-liquid-sulphur-price-hits-record-705-lt) is outside the fact sheet's 2025 frame. The sheet is useful as a pre-shock baseline: 4.43 million tonnes plus, $1.45 billion, 3.5 million tonnes through Vancouver, rank 76. The shock is everything after 28 February.
Figures follow Canada Action's citations of StatCan and Statista, checked against USGS, BC Insight, and VFPA. Licensed weekly grids are not restated.
