Alberta and Vancouver export desks entered the 25 October weekend with the Chinese domestic sulfur screen frozen at a three-month low and coastal inventory edging down from the 1.11 million tonne band that had capped the mid-October unwind.

Shengyishe's 100ppi rawmex feed at 16:00 on 25 October printed the national sulfur 基准价 at 5,714.25 yuan per metric tonne, unchanged from the 24 October close and flat for a fourth consecutive session after the 21 to 22 October step down from the 5,776.75 yuan handle.

The same page marked 5,714.25 yuan as the three-month trough against a three-month peak of 9,535.67 yuan and a three-month average of 8,198.39 yuan, framing how far the open Chinese tape has moved from the June highs without a licensed price reporting agency weekly grid on the public record.

100ppi's 硫磺指数 for 25 October settled at 313.54, unchanged from 24 October, down 48.45 percent from the 15 June 2026 cycle peak of 608.19 points in the index methodology published on the site.

On inventory, the freshest Shengyishe port wire on the rawmex page, dated 23 October for stocks as of 22 October, put monitored coastal elemental sulfur at 1.1029 million tonnes.

That is a decline of roughly 9,800 tonnes from the 21 October tally of 1.1127 million tonnes, with Fangchenggang at 420 thousand tonnes, Zhanjiang at 350 thousand tonnes, Zhenjiang at 196.5 thousand tonnes, and smaller parcels at Beihai, Nanjing, and Dafeng in the published breakdown.

The incremental draw is modest in percentage terms but it breaks a week-long plateau above 1.11 million tonnes, giving import buyers a slightly tighter cover number to cite when they negotiate stems against the parked domestic 基准.

Customs commentary still carried on the 100ppi feed cites China's September 2026 sulfur imports at 14.07 million tonnes, down 48.33 percent month on month and 82.26 percent year on year, with January to September cumulative imports at 305.93 million tonnes, down 61.81 percent year on year.

Those customs lines are not a same-day print for 25 October, but they explain why traders watch port stocks and refinery offers when import arrivals slow.

Shandong Dongming Petrochemical's 22 October list on the same feed held liquid sulfur at 5,350 yuan per tonne and solid sulfur at 6,550 yuan per tonne after hikes posted on that date, a single refinery band that sits below the national 基准 on liquid but above it on prilled solid in the open quote table.

Open international markers from ChemPriceHub's mid-October Pacific roundup still frame competition near 830 to 840 dollars FOB Vancouver and 740 to 790 dollars FOB Middle East ex-Iran, the dollar anchors Alberta blocks must clear when yuan replacement cost softens.

Alberta Energy Regulator ST3 sulphur statistical files on the public index were unchanged at desk time, with the verified_public August 2026 provincial closing inventory still the stockpile figure behind rail and terminal scheduling on the North American side.

The U.S. Geological Survey sulfur statistics page still lists Mineral Industry Surveys through July 2026 while longer archives migrate to ScienceBase, leaving US monthly production context one month behind the Chinese daily screens.

Desk read: treat the fourth-day hold at 5,714 yuan as weekend stability, not demand recovery, until phosphate run rates and port stocks move together; size Vancouver netbacks with 830 to 840 dollar FOB and roughly 1.10 million tonne coastal cover in the same spreadsheet.
