The draft scheme would subsidize 20% of sulphur and sulphuric acid procurement, with floor reference prices of $800/t and $266.67/t respectively, running June 2026 through March 2027 if Cabinet approves. The DoF framed the measure as a response to West Asia crisis cost pressure and directed manufacturers to hold production through Kharif 2026 and Rabi 2026-27.
