Pacific export desks on 22 October watched the Chinese domestic sulfur tape extend its October unwind while Alberta block inventory still sat at the August government close.
Shengyishe's 100ppi rawmex page printed a national sulfur 基准价 at 5,714.25 yuan per metric tonne at the 22 October update, down 1.08 percent on the day, with header statistics putting the three-month low at that level, a three-month high at 9,535.67 yuan, and a three-month average at 8,324.37 yuan.
SunSirs' open daily price table showed the same 5,714.25 yuan print for 22 October after 5,776.75 yuan on 21 October and 6,076.75 yuan on 20 October, a 4.94 percent drop into the 21 October close that followed two sessions at the 6,076.75 yuan three-month low band.
The move keeps domestic replacement cost well below early-October holiday holds near 7,702 yuan and below the 7,685.67 yuan month-open reference still cited on the 100ppi statistics block.
Shengyishe's 21 October port inventory wire on the rawmex feed put monitored coastal elemental sulfur at 1.1127 million tonnes, including Fangchenggang 420 thousand tonnes, Zhanjiang 350 thousand tonnes, Zhenjiang 205 thousand tonnes, Dafeng 82 thousand tonnes, Beihai 18 thousand tonnes, and Nanjing 10 thousand tonnes.
Heavy port cover near 1.11 million tonnes has been a recurring theme in open Chinese commentary through mid-October, giving import buyers room to delay stems even as seaborne FOB bands softened.
On plant offers, the same 100ppi feed carried a 22 October Shandong Dongming Petrochemical quote raising liquid sulfur 150 yuan to 5,350 yuan per tonne and solid sulfur 50 yuan to 6,550 yuan per tonne.
That step is the first upward tick at Dongming after the 19 October cut that took liquid sulfur to 5,000 yuan per tonne and solid sulfur to 6,500 yuan per tonne on the PriceSeek alert.
Sulfur Wire treats Dongming as one regional refinery list price, not evidence that the national 基准 has bottomed, especially with the national screen still making new three-month lows.
Open international markers from ChemPriceHub's 15 October week still frame export competition: Vancouver FOB transactions at 830 to 840 dollars per tonne and Middle East spot FOB ex-Iran at 740 to 790 dollars in the public roundup.
Alberta Energy Regulator ST3 through August 2026 shows closing sulfur inventory at 11,042,851.4 tonnes, the verified_public stockpile behind rail and terminal scheduling when Pacific buyers test lower Chinese screens.
