Alberta and Vancouver export desks entered 27 October with the Chinese domestic sulfur screen extending its October unwind, as both Shengyishe's 100ppi 基准 and Tonghuashun iFind's spot table printed the same lower close and coastal inventory wires showed a marginal rebuild.
Shengyishe's 100ppi rawmex page on 27 October put the national sulfur 基准价 at 5,564.25 yuan per metric tonne, down 50 yuan or 0.89 percent from 5,614.25 yuan on 26 October.
The screen marked 5,564.25 yuan as a fresh three-month low against a three-month peak of 9,535.67 yuan and a three-month average of 8,122.28 yuan on the open methodology header, deepening the slide that began when October opened near 7,685 yuan.
Tonghuashun iFind's 27 October sulfur spot article at 16:55 local time matched 5,564.25 yuan per tonne, down 50 yuan on the day, and carried cumulative moves of minus 512.5 yuan or 8.43 percent over the past week and minus 2,154.75 yuan or 27.91 percent over the past month on the same table.
The alignment between 基准 and iFind closes the lag that had left iFind shells on 26 October embedding the prior 5,714.25 yuan print while 100ppi had already cut the national marker.
Monitored coastal elemental sulfur on the 100ppi wire totaled 1.1244 million tonnes as of 27 October, up from 1.1219 million tonnes on 26 October.
The published breakdown listed Fangchenggang at 420 thousand tonnes, Zhanjiang at 350 thousand tonnes, Zhenjiang at 216.5 thousand tonnes, Dafeng at 82 thousand tonnes, Beihai at 18 thousand tonnes, and Nanjing at 10 thousand tonnes.
The inventory rebuild remains modest in percentage terms but keeps import cover visible on open feeds while phosphate operating rates stay subdued in commentary from the week of 16 October.
Middle East nomination math was unchanged on the open record: Shanghai Metals Market's 8 October flash still lists October 2026 producer contracts at QatarEnergy 835 dollars per tonne FOB, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation 820 dollars FOB, and ADNOC 890 dollars FOB Ruwais, with no verified November QSP, KSP, or ADNOC OSP posting on the desk pass.
ChemPriceHub's mid-October international roundup still frames seaborne competition near 830 to 840 dollars FOB Vancouver and 740 to 790 dollars FOB Middle East ex-Iran for the week of 15 October, the dollar bands Alberta blocks must clear when yuan replacement cost softens.
Alberta Energy Regulator ST3 sulphur statistical files on the public index were unchanged at desk time, with the verified_public August 2026 provincial closing inventory still the North American stockpile anchor behind rail and terminal scheduling.
The U.S. Geological Survey sulfur statistics page still lists Mineral Industry Surveys through July 2026 while longer archives migrate to ScienceBase, leaving US monthly production context one month behind the Chinese daily screens.
SunSirs and 肥多多 commentary from the week of 16 October still described MAP and DAP operating rates near 41 to 43 percent, the demand freeze that has tracked the October 基准 slide; see the phosphate fertilizer demand topic for dated product prices.

Desk read: treat the 50 yuan 基准 cut as continuation of the phosphate-led unwind until November Middle East contracts print; size Vancouver netbacks with 830 to 840 dollar FOB and roughly 1.12 million tonne coastal cover in the same spreadsheet.
